A bit of history about our Bollenstreek. The cultivation of flower bulbs in the area around Haarlem began as early as the 16th century. The Bollenstreek as we know it today started to take shape in the second half of the 19th century.

As you may already know, Spain is a country where Catholicism plays a significant role. Semana Santa, the week before Easter (Pascua), is one of the most important religious periods of the year in the country.

In January 2025, we finally found the time to visit the olive oil factory Aceites Molisur in Alhaurín el Grande, just a 25-minute drive from Casa Mijas.

In September 2024, we decided to take a trip to sunny Málaga. It was the perfect opportunity to visit some rooftop bars and admire the most beautiful views over the city.

In January 2024 we finally had the opportunity to explore Málaga, and what a journey of discovery it was! As first-time visitors, we booked a cycling tour with "Experience Málaga" to really experience the atmosphere of this vibrant city.

In October 2023 we visited Ronda from Casa Mijas, one of the most beautiful cities in Andalusia. We drove there via Marbella, a beautiful mountain road and the way back via Coin, this road it is considerably flatter and easier to drive.
