In February 2022 when we had no plans at all to purchase a flat in Spain but were on holiday in La Cala de Mijas, we heard from many people "Go hike the Caminito del Rey". This is a spectacular hike near Málaga.

Do you like to walk? I walk a lot in our beautiful dunes, towards Noordwijk and unfortunately not so much in our ‘Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen’. The reason for this is that this is a protected dune area where dogs are not allowed.

Did you know that ... we have a beach reserve of 3 km on the beach between Langevelderslag and Zandvoort? 'Noordvoort' is a stretch of coast, free of walkers and dogs, where nature gets more peace and space. You might even spot a seal!

We lived happily and quietly with our three girls in Noordwijk. The sea and the beach, that I love so much, on walking distance. Our house only just had been renovated once more, and the result was beautiful. Finally, I could sit back and start enjoying a quieter life.
